He has a point

I hadn’t thought about this, what with the week of violence we just watched unfold.   Right now the choice for Hillary Clinton is either face slapping stupidity or criminal.  But if criminal, why?  Assuming that she isn’t beyond dumb, so incompetent and foolish as to preclude her from any position of responsibility, why would Ms. Clinton deliberately do something criminal?

Hillary Clinton who, besides being a transparent crook with her slush fund Clinton Foundation, has demonstrated that she cannot be trusted with classified information. Using a private e-mail server while she was in “sophisticated adversary nations” as Secretary of State? Just how big an idiot is she? How much blackmail info on her does China or Russia have thanks to her gross incompetence? Why was she using an unsecure private e-mail in any case? Obviously because she has a lot going on that she didn’t want to transmit through official secured channels. Next to Clinton even Trump, a monumental oaf, looks competent and wise.

I forgot about the Clinton Foundation.  There’s still an ongoing investigation.  Forgive me for not remembering, but the press hasn’t spent much time talking about it, at least compared to its coverage of all things Trump.  You have to admit it raises eyebrows.

My family and I just watched the 1976 movie All the President’s Men, based on the book of the same name by Watergate reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.  It’s should be on everyone’s Must Watch List.  Here’s the thing.  There are conspiracies.  It’s not unheard of.  How we learned about Watergate was because two young reporters, “hungry” as they are described in the movie, stopped at nothing and worked around the clock for months to uncover the scandal; to follow the money as Hal Holbrook said.  Had they not thrown 189% into the story, kept at it with bulldog tenacity, and never given up until the last thread was accounted for, we might never have known about Nixon’s role in the Watergate scandal.

Why do I get the feeling that, apart from FOX News, which doesn’t have much of an investigative department, the rest of the media isn’t putting its all behind these stories?  If they aren’t, if there isn’t currently a Woodward or Bernstein running around behind the scenes, knocking on doors, spending weeks of sleepless nights pulling files, barging into offices, and doing so with the support of their news agency, then how can we ever know?  We’re left with the picture of a woman who, at best, is so incompetent as to defy logic.  If she isn’t that ignorant, then despite the FBI’s  appraisal, she meant to do it.  If she did mean to do it, then why?  Again, it makes you wonder.
