After Forever is when women will be priests

According to this USA Today headline.  It’s true, Pope Francis reiterates what the historic Faith has always taught, that men are to be priests.   Leaning heavily on the words of Saint Pope John Paul II, Pope Francis reminds us that he is Pope of an ancient, orthodox tradition.  The influence of liberation theology common in Latin America can’t be missed when Pope Francis talks.  But he is Pope of a tradition of revealed Truth, and therefore certain teachings cannot – not will not – be changed.  This is one.  In America, we try desperately to fit everything into a blue state/red state paradigm. Outside of the States those distinctions are not quite so clear.  Pope Francis illustrates this about as well as anyone.
