What? Trump won’t try to send Hillary Clinton to jail?

Really?   Uh huh.  How many people actually believed these things?  For my part, I don’t know that she did anything that was actually illegal.  That she demonstrated gross negligence and incompetence, and that she presided over some disastrous results of her department’s policies and practices is, to my eyes, more than enough.  I’m not into this modern ‘buck never got here’ approach to responsibility.   When Eisenhower drafted a possible response to the D-Day invasion on the chance that it failed*, it didn’t involve anything close to ‘I was just in charge, it isn’t my fault.’  Reminding people that if you deserve credit for things when they go well, you deserve blame when they don’t, would be a nice lesson across the board.

Nonetheless, Trump’s boast that Hillary would be sent to the big house to make big rocks into little rocks couldn’t have been taken seriously.  And I’m sure this isn’t the first big boast of Trump’s that we’ll see dropped into the circular file.  Exactly which ones will remain to be seen, but I’m betting there will be more than one.

Eisenhower’s letter that, thankfully, was not needed.  Nothing about it not being his fault since he was only in charge that I can see.
