Evidence proves the dumber your comments, the more the Republican voter base will love you. It worked for Donald Trump up until now, but there is a new sheriff of stupid in town and that man is named Ben Carson.

Now I know what you may be thinking. How can I dare call a world-renowned neurosurgeon stupid? Well, take a gander at these 5 quotes (yes, I managed to pick only 5) from the Republican presidential candidate and decide for yourself what adjective we should use for him.

5. “Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight — and when they come out, they’re gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”

This is a quote from back in March when Carson argued that being gay was a choice and used prison as his reasoning.

4. “If people don’t speak up for what they believe, then other people will change things without them having a voice. Hitler changed things there and nobody protested. Nobody provided any opposition to him.”

This is another quote from just this year in which Carson compared President Obama to Hitler.

3. “The number-one cause of death for black people is abortion.”

I don’t even know how to reply to this…

2. “Think about this. During slavery — and I know that’s one of those words you’re not supposed to say, but I’m saying it — during slavery, a lot of the slave owners thought that they had the right to do whatever they wanted to that slave. Anything that they chose to do.”

Carson just this week comparing abortion to slavery. More specifically, comparing women who get abortions to slave owners.

1. “We’ve got ISIS. They’ve got the wrong philosophy, but they’re willing to die for what they believe while we are busily giving away every belief and every value for the sake of political correctness.”

And here he is praising ISIS for dying for what they believe in while here in the US we are not allowing Christian fundamentalists total control of the country. That’s right, he is praising ISIS for standing up for their beliefs.

Now, you tell me, what better word describes this man?
