Liberals seem to love when Pope Francis bashes capitalism, praising him with speaking up for the poor. Ignoring he does it all while sitting atop an $8 billion dollar church, ravished in gold.
He called capitalism “terrorism against all of humanity,” this week when speaking about global terrorism and trying to distract away from religious influence.
“Terrorism grows when there is no other option, and as long as the world economy has at its center the god of money and not the person,” the pope told reporters. “This is fundamental terrorism, against all humanity.”
The pope went on to say that no religion has a monopoly on violence.
Now, for the record, I do agree with both statements. Capitalism is a form of terrorism in its own right. It is responsible for global poverty levels, slavery, slave wages, and it plays a major role in racism around the world, and that’s only to name a few of its ills.Secondly, no religion does own violence, in fact, almost all religions are guilty of it.
Does capitalism and poverty help make terrorism possible? Sure, but so does religion. ISIS suicide bombers are not blowing themselves up with copies of The Communist Manifesto in their hands. Poverty, at the hands of capitalism, may have spurred some of their motivations to join such terrorist organizations, but it is religion, that turns them to violence.
And don’t for a second pretend that religious terrorist attacks against Planned Parenthood has anything to do with capitalism.
The pope is trying to erase the religious role, and place all the blame on global economics, all while sitting on his golden throne.
Pope Francis is a hypocrite. If he wants to help abolish terrorism he will dismantle his religion and donate its billions to those in need.
