Rob Dalrymple is currently serving as Lead Pastor at NPC in Bakersfield, Ca, and overseeing the planting of a new church Grove Community Church in Shafter Ca.
Rob has a ThM and a PhD in Biblical Interpretation and New Testament Studies from Westminster Theological Seminary and an MA in Philosophy.
He has been teaching and in ministry for more than thirty-one years at the seminary, college, and local church levels. He previously served as the Dean and Professor of NT at Koinonia Graduate School of Theology, as a teaching fellow in NT Greek at Westminster Theological Seminary, as an Adjunct Professor of New Testament and Biblical Greek at Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, Pa., and as an adjunct at Fuller Seminary. He has taught and lectured at conferences and seminaries around the world.
His books include: Revelation and the Two Witnesses (Wipf and Stock, 2011), Understanding the New Testament and the End Times: Why it Matters (Wipf and Stock, reprint 2018; previously published as Understanding Eschatology: Why it Matters, 2017), These Brothers of Mine: A Biblical Theology of Land and Family and a Response to Christian Zionism (Wipf and Stock, 2015), and Follow the Lamb: A Guide to Reading, Understanding, and Applying the Book of Revelation (Weaver Books, 2017). He is a contributor to the Baker Illustrated Bible Dictionary, and author of numerous scholarly articles and reviews.
In addition to his writing Rob serves on the oversight committee for the Book of Revelation Study Group for the Evangelical Theological Society, and as a consulting editor for the online journal Sacrum Testamentum.
He loves to spend time with his wife Toni and their four children, three daughters in law, and their grandchild Oliver. He has been involved in managing his kids’ little league and AAU baseball teams, coaching their youth soccer teams, and in their junior golf. He enjoys reading and studying the Word of God. And, as a native New Englander, he loves cheering for the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins, and most anything that comes out of Boston. Rob is also an avid golfer.
