I like this one:

Nation ‘tearing itself apart’ over presidential eligibility

No it isn’t. You’re raving like idiots and the rest of us are pointing and laughing at you.

I often wonder how the world looks to these weirdos, but then I don’t go any further with it, because I’d like to keep my brain in my head, not in an congealing puddle on the floor.

The comments on WND are disturbing. Apparently WND readers have never met an Urban Legend (or Lie For Jesus) they didn’t want to pass on.

[wipes tears of mirth from eyes, resumes pointing] Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Aquaria – as well you should. I tried to skim through the comments…and had to stop because I could feel my brain liquifying.

You just have to wonder what color the sky is on their home planet.

  • Am I alone in hearing, “You’re tearing me apart, Lisa!”?

  • fifthdentist

Holy fuck, there’s some weapons-grade stupid on that site.

I wonder what fun I could have by posting that Obama’s birth was a C section and therefore he’s not naturally born. They’d likely go for it hook, line and stinker.

  • tacitus

The upshot of their argument (that both parents need to be Americans) would mean that all candidates running for president and their parents would be required to have DNA tests to ensure that both their parents were who they were were claimed to be, and natural born citizens. Woe betide anyone who happened to find out that their assumed father, wasn’t.

It was also put the kibosh on any adopted American citizen running for president unless they could locate both their natural born parents.

There are lots of divisions about presidential eligibility. Some of these people think that Rick Perry could be president. Some even think Cain, Bachmann, or Palin, or Christie could be president. Some of us think they’re lunatics that shouldn’t be anywhere near the Oval Office.

  • azkyroth

It falls a bit short of “tearing itself apart” but thanks to WorldNutGoatse, the nation has “exposed its insides…”

  • Tim DeLaney

As tacitus says, defining “natural born” in terms of the citizenship of parents leads to absurd ramifications. But it gets even more ludicrous. If my paternal grandfather was a foreign national and never nationalized, then my father wasn’t a citizen. And if my great-grandfather, … etc.

  • MikeMa

As rabid as they are on the natural born thing regarding Obama holding the office, they seem to be willing to make an exception for Rubio. Just can’t figure it out. Oh, wait. Black democrat, white rethuglican. Got it.

  • cptdoom

What does this all mean for Willard Romney, whose grandfather allegedly renounced his American citizenship when he fled to Mexico with his polygamous “wives.” Was George Romney ever questioned about his citizenship when he ran for President? Or is it OK to be the product of anti-Americans if the letters “GOP” are after your name?

  • chilidog99

FWIW, SCOTUS just rejected cert on Alan Keyes case without comment.

For once I’d wish they would actually issue a comment on the rejection:

    “STFU Birther Moron!”

  • MikeMa

WND had a rousing article on that a few days ago. Once agin they were sure this was the case that would bring Obama down (send money). But once again they were wrong.

  • I don’t know about the nation, but I’m personally tearing myself apart. Just thinking about presidential eligibility this weekend forced me to remove one eye, both ears, and part of my left foot. This morning I thought about Obama’s dad being from Kenya and I involuntarily pulled out my own spleen. It has got to stop!!!
