Loesch: There Are No Birthers!

Loesch: There Are No Birthers! June 6, 2012

The terminally crazy Dana Loesch continues to be a CNN contributor despite making one racist and disturbing statement after another, and CNN brought her on to talk about Wolf Blitzer’s recent confrontation with Donald Trump over the birther nonsense. So naturally, she claims there are no birthers at all, other than, bizarrely, the Clintons.

Here is what — nobody — nobody believes that the President wasn’t born in Hawaii except for people like Phil Berg and the Clintons. Nobody believes that. So I think this whole issue is moot at this point.

It certainly should be moot, but it’s not. You know why it’s not, Dana? Because a lot of your fellow wingnuts can’t accept that it’s moot. Have you never heard of Orly Taitz? Or virtually everyone at the Worldnutdaily? For crying out loud, you’re on TV specifically to talk about Donald Trump continuing to push this birth certificate bullshit and your argument is that he doesn’t exist? This woman is utterly dishonest.

    If only. But seriously, why does anyone still pay an attention to this bucket of diarrhea in a bad hairpiece?

    Trump or Loesch?

    I wasn’t aware that the Clintons were birthers — you learn something new every day. </sarcasm> Project much Dana?

    In other news, our favorite birther Orly Taitz got a whopping 3.1% of the vote in her run against Diane Feinstein. The sad news is that there are 113,000 people in California stupid enough to vote for Taitz. I’ll confess to nearly letting my sense of mischief get ahead of me and almost voted for Taitz, so perhaps some of those 113,000 people were just doing it to get her hopes up.

    ArtK:

    What, you don’t remember how Hillary Clinton went full birther during the 2008 primary?

    Actually, she’s not even right about Berg. He’s conceded that Obama was born in Hawaii and has focused on the imaginary rule that both of your parents must be citizens in order to be considered a natural born citizen.

    The the Gallup May 5-8, 2011 poll is a little dated. More recently, there’s polls from YouGov and some State-level PPP results.

    Birthers may have gotten slightly rarer, but they certainly have not gone extinct, and they consistently have been much more common among Republicans than Democrats. Dana Loesch is delusional.

  • Loesch most likely got the idea the Clintons are Birthers from the Globe tabloid, which had a story back in April claiming Bill Clinton has evidence Obama isn’t a real American, but hasn’t revealed it because he’s afraid of being killed. I commented at the time on my blog that apparently Bill Clinton must no longer have access to the death squad that he used to murder all those people back in the ’90s. You know, all those unfortunates that filled the various “death lists” that circulated during the Clinton administration.

    yoav- people still pay attention to Trump because he has made tons of robocalls for Romney. Romney is the only tether Trump has to legitimacy. If we want to be able to safely ignore Trump, we need to continue to pressure Romney to drop Trump. Or we could stop giving Romney any legitimacy either.

    @d cwilson

    I never seen Loesch so I can’t comment on the quality of her hairpiece.

    @grim

    Romney is just a notch above Trump on the crazy scale but I think mittens is hanging with Trump because he think (sadly correctly) that it will bring attention to him, if no one paid any attention to Trump mittens wouldn’t spit in his general direction.
