Atheist Artists, This One’s for You

Atheist Artists, This One’s for You October 20, 2012

I have absolutely no artistic talent. I can barely draw a straight line while using a ruler. But if you do have artistic ability, American Atheists wants you for their first annual art show and silent auction. You can find all the details here.

  • Thanks for this link! I have a few paintings that would sell at such an auction, but not enough to set up a booth. Still, let’s hope this starts a trend of some sort. Lord knows, the world needs it.

Actually, I would pay good money for that, if I’m guaranteed it’s exactly 10,000 lines (including signature) — I just can’t stand false advertising. You’d at least make enough to pay for the pencil.

You need a snappier title. “The 10,000 lines Number 3”

Ed — artistic talent has nothing to do with being able to draw — that’s just training. It’s a way of seeing, and you probably have more of it than you realize, just judging from your writings here. It’s about connecting dots in ways that most people don’t think of.

The art show and auction sounds like fun, and I might consider submitting some work, but alas! I’m not an atheist.

  • I wonder if any of those artists would be interested in helping illustrate a book of nursery rhymes about the logical fallacies?
