My Favorite New Republican Congressman

My Favorite New Republican Congressman November 8, 2014

One of the new Republicans elected to the U.S. House of Representatives that will definitely be worth watching is Mike Bost. This is from a debate in the Illinois legislature over pension reform when Bost absolutely lost his shit and went on a serious rant.

So is he going to fight Boehner and the new Majority Leader for rules that would allow the Minority to introduce legislation that has a chance of making it to the floor?

    Tell me when it happens.

  • John Pieret

This wasn’t his only time. Google “Mike Bost Erupts Over Change In Concealed Carry Bill”.

Did this guy watch Network one time too many and draw the wrong conclusion?

  • Sideshow Bill

This guy hasn’t been listening to Limbaugh too much, nope, not at all. Then again, I’m sure his district has.

  • Apparently it’s OK to be emotional, but only if you’re a Republican and that emotion is rage.

I still remember how Howard Dean was hounded out of politics for enthusiastically shouting “YEAH!” at a rally. That was a horrible, evil, awful, display of emotion that made him a national laughingstock and ended not just his presidential campaign but his entire political career.

But if you’re a Repubican you can throw profanity laden a temper tantrum in the state legislature building and get elected to real Congress.

    What. The. Fuck. America?

I went to school in that area. Lots of psychos down there!

I like how everyone around him is totally unsurprised.

I’m surprised he wasn’t ruled out of order or anything by the Speaker, especially with the “throwing papers in the air” bit.

The level of intellectual discussion in the next Congress will be staggering.

    Might fall right over.
