Arkansas Legislator Wants to Nuke Iraq

Arkansas Legislator Wants to Nuke Iraq February 17, 2015

Arkansas state Senator Jason Rapert is, beyond a doubt, one of the dumbest and most extreme far-right figures in Republican politics. He’s given to all manner of bizarre declarations, including a recent Facebook post in which he says that we should use nuclear weapons against ISIS in Iraq.

With ISIS spreading all over the Middle East and Africa and Islamic Extremists carrying out violence in Europe, The United Kingdom and even in the United States, I wonder why the civilized world just sits by when we have weapons that could wipe out these barbarians where they are concentrated? I believe it is time to annihilate the strongholds and pursue the rest till we have them all captured or killed. A strategically placed nuclear weapon would save the lives of our soldiers and quickly turn things around. It is time for the insanity to be stopped.

Yeah, that’s a great idea. Let’s drop nuclear weapons on Iraq, where they will also kill Shiites and Kurds along with the Sunnis in ISIS. He apparently doesn’t realize that nuclear bombs are not exactly pinpoint weapons that only kill the people they’re aimed at. To turn the stupidity up to 11, he then responded to criticism of this idiotic plan with this:

Seems liberals even love ISIS more than stopping them cold in their tracks. They truly amaze me with their anti-American arguments. Bizarre.

Yes, if you don’t want to drop nuclear weapons on countries that we are allies with, you obviously love ISIS and are anti-American. Those are clearly the only two possible responses, nukes or you hate America. How do these fucking idiots get elected? Oh yeah, it’s Arkansas.
