Jonathan Saenz, head of a group of bigots called Texas Values, has a clever new grift. He needs people to send him $25,000 so he can educate pastors about a new law in that state that protects them from being forced to perform gay marriages. That law was, of course, completely unnecessary because they already had such protections, but that $25K will keep him in the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed.
America today is occupied territory. The enemies of religious freedom occupy every power center from government to academia. Everyone except its spiritual core. Thank God, that power isn’t centered in Washington. It flows from the faith and values of its people, from a thousand churches and faith-filled homes across Texas and beyond.
That makes our pastors the Leaders of the Resistancee.
How does an invading army break the will of an occupied people? First, it identifies its Resistance Leaders. Next, it isolates and demoralizes them, making them think they’re alone and powerless. Then it breaks them––before the people can rally to their defense.
This is why your pastor is truly in the cross-hairs. Armed with not only the recent egregious Supreme Court same-sex ‘marriage’ decision but a host of lower-court rulings and guidelines, the pro-homosexual left is scouring Texas—America’s last stronghold of resistance—seeking “weakest link” communities and churches for a pre-emptive strike.
So it’s not enough for only a few well-informed pastors to know about our state’s new Pastor Protection Law. Every member of the Texas clergy and every Texas church must know they’re shielded against being forced to solemnize, perform, or celebrate a same-sex ‘marriage’ in violation of their beliefs.
Help us ensure pastors know their community has their back so they can boldly proclaim God’s truth about marriage.
Does your pastor know? What about other pastors and churches in your community?
I have been through a lawsuit for my First Amendment rights before, as a law student defending the rights of the campus pro-life group I was leading. It’s no picnic. If more people know about the Pastor Protection Law we can help keep pastors out of court or jail and in the pulpits, and out in their community where they do their best work!
That’s why, as the driving force behind protecting religious freedom throughout Texas,Texas Values is launching a state-wide education campaign to let every Texas pastor, church, and religious organization know their own protection.
Here’s how you can join our Protect Pastors campaign. First, I need the most generous gift you can send today.
With tens of thousands of pastors and churches across the state, we must raise $25,000 to fully fund our Protect Pastors educational campaign to equip and educate our bible-believing pastors and churches. Every dollar will ensure more pastors, churches, and fellow Texans are equipped with the protections of this new law.
This is a nice little con they have going. The Supreme Court’s ruling on the matter explicitly says that churches do not have to perform same-sex weddings, but even if it didn’t say that they still could not have been forced to do so. There are few things more firmly established in American law than the ministerial exception doctrine and churches are explicitly exempted from anti-discrimination laws. But they whip up fear over pastors being frogmarched out of the pulpit to get a law passed, raising a hell of a lot of money from ignorant people who don’t know how unnecessary it is, then once the law is passed they need more money to tell pastors about the pointless law they didn’t need in the first place. There’s a lot of money in fleecing the masses through fear. Lying for Jesus and for their bank accounts.
