Stacey Dash’s Inane Critique of Jesse Williams’ BET Speech

Stacey Dash’s Inane Critique of Jesse Williams’ BET Speech July 2, 2016

After Jesse Williams delivered a blistering speech at the BET awards, Stacey Dash, being the loyal house slave that she is, lashed out at him in a rather ridiculous post here on Patheos, which inexplicably hosts her blog. It’s a master class in non sequiturs.

Williams also said he doesn’t have time to wait on God for the freedom promised to His children in Heaven. Williams doesn’t want to wait for freedom. His attitude is that of Veruca Salt: he wants it now:

“Freedom is somehow always conditional here. ‘You’re free,’ they keep on telling us… Now, freedom is always coming in the hereafter. But, you know what though, the hereafter is a hustle. We want it now.”

Maybe now people will see why I’m so against this racist network.

No, actually. The last sentence appears to have nothing to do with what is quoted. Why is it a bad thing to demand freedom and justice in the real world rather than in an imaginary afterworld? That was the premise of the entire civil rights movement, wasn’t it?

You’ve just seen the perfect example of a HOLLYWOOD plantation slave! Sorry, Mr Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what your talking about. Just spewing hate and anger.

Dash, of course, would happily be a “Hollywood plantation slave,” but Hollywood has had little do do with her in a couple decades now. And no, it isn’t because she’s been blacklisted because she’s a conservative; her career died long before she ever went public about being right wing. In fact, she is just the latest in a long line of D-list “celebrities” to regain some recognition by lending their “fame” to the right wing agenda. I’m looking at you, Victoria Jackson. And you, Kevin Sorbo. And you, Dean Cain. And you, Chuck Norris. And you, Morgan Brittany. And you, Pat Boone. Hell, this seems to be the new path to almost-relevance for those whose agents didn’t have enough pull to get them on Dancing With the Stars.

Because you my man are just like everyone else hustling to get money. But your cognitive dissidents has you getting it from THAT BYSTANDER whom YOU DONT NEED. Yes. BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION is WHITE OWNED.

Cognitive dissidents. I’m sure she has a firm grasp on that concept since she seems unaware of the word “dissonance.”
