The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display a staggering lack of self-awareness and this one is a doozy. It isn’t just that Donald Trump has accused Clinton of his own worst traits (as he often does), it’s that he criticizes her for the thing he said about himself virtually word-for-word previously.
At a rally on Friday before thousands of cheering supporters in Pensacola, Florida, Trump had more harsh words for the Democratic presidential nominee in the fallout over their crossfire at a televised national security forum in New York on Wednesday.
“Because she’s being so protected, she could walk into this arena right now and shoot somebody with 20,000 people watching right smack in the middle of the heart and she wouldn’t be prosecuted, okay?” he said.
“That is what’s happened to this country. I never thought I’d see the day where this has happened to our country,” he added.
Does he have no memory of him saying virtually the same thing about himself, that he could literally shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose a single voter? Is he a werewolf who wakes up with no memory of what he said the night before? Just bizarre. He certainly could have made the point he was trying to make without using the exact same words he used about himself.
