Brian Kilmeade’s Virulent Anti-Intellectualism March 17, 2019

On Donald Trump’s favorite show, Fox and Friends, Brian Kilmeade — the second dumbest man on TV, second only to his co-host Steve Doocy — showed his anti-intellectualism by saying that the fact that Beto O’Rourke reads a lot of books shouldn’t matter to anyone.

BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Vanity Fair has a huge article and feature on [Beto O’Rourke], it’s almost as if they helped launch his campaign. Here’s a quote from it, he says: “I want to be in it, man. I’m just born to be in it.” They also point out that he has this huge library. As if it’s a big plus that he reads books.

Yes, you clueless halfwit, it is a plus that he reads books. It’s a big problem that Donald Trump doesn’t. Intellectual curiosity, a desire to dive into issues and understand them deeply and understanding that there is much to learn are not just good traits in a president (or anyone else, for that matter), they are indispensable. Without those things, you end up being a moronic host on Fox News saying stupid things like this.
