The Comment Filter Problem

The Comment Filter Problem June 16, 2019

I know a lot of people are upset by all the nonsensical words added to the comment moderation filters, and you should be. I’m even more upset by it, as are all the bloggers. I apologize for the problems. But there’s been a great deal of discussion on our backchannel about this, and I can assure you that nothing nefarious is going on. It was all a screw up in an attempt to comply with Google’s rules on advertising. They tried to fix it once and ran into a problem and they’re now working with Disqus to fix it once and for all. In the meantime, if my designated moderators could take some time every day to go through the comments sent to moderation and approve the ones that should not have been blocked, I would appreciate this. And it’ll be fixed, I promise.
