Trump’s handpicked FBI Director, Christopher Wray, spoke out in support of the Horowitz report on the origin of the investigation into Russian interference with the Trump campaign and the 2016 presidential election. Observers see signs of a repeat of the firing of James Comey after Trump attacked Wray on Twitter.
Wray told ABC News, “The inspector general did not find political bias or improper motivations impacting the opening or the decision to use certain investigative tools.” He said that included the use of a FISA surveillance warrant.

Trump quickly attacked Wray on Twitter:
I don’t know what report current Director of the FBI Christopher Wray was reading, but it sure wasn’t the one given to me. With that kind of attitude, he will never be able to fix the FBI, which is badly broken despite having some of the greatest men & women working there!

As if Trump actually read a single word of the IG report. Who could possibly believe that? This may well lead to Wray being fired, just like Comey. one of the parallels in the two situations is that Trump is meeting today with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, just as he did when he fired Comey. Why he would be meeting with the Russian foreign minister in a meeting closed to the media, now of all times, is beyond me. It’s quite shameless.
