In a pair of tweets Monday morning, Trump told lies that are audacious and outrageous even by his own mendacious standards. He bizarrely claimed that he was the one who saved insurance coverage for those, like me, with preexisting conditions. He doesn’t explain how he did that because, obviously, how could he?
Mini Mike Bloomberg is spending a lot of money on False Advertising. I was the person who saved preexisting Conditions in your Healthcare, you have it now, while at the same time winning the fight to rid you of the expensive, unfair and very unpopular Individual Mandate and, if Republicans win in court and take back the House of Representatives, your healthcare, that I have now brought to the best place in many years, will become the best ever, by far. I will always protect your Pre-Existing Conditions, the Dems will not!”
One has to wonder from which orifice he pulled this one out of. He has been the biggest threat to coverage for pre-existing conditions, not its savior. This claim is just so utterly out of touch with reality that it can only be viewed as a missive from fantasy land. Trump is supporting the lawsuit in Texas that would declare all of Obamacare unconstitutional, including the guaranteed coverage for pre-existing conditions and there is no replacement in effect, or even a single Republican proposal that would provide such coverage. Just a staggering lie.
