A chief justice appearing before the Supreme Court!! Man, this is totally farcical justice system there in that country! Where Army rules… there is very little that judiciary can do. And I guess these Pakis are learning from their American masters really well.. they keep the justices on the leash as well…
Pakistan’s suspended Chief Justice on Tuesday appeared before the Supreme Court Judicial Council to explain charges against him.
As Iftikar Chaudhury, accompanied by his wife, made his way to the court he was roughed up by security men.
He had insisted on walking to the court instead of taking his official car.
There was chaos at the heavily guarded court where 200 people including journalists and lawyers pierced through security cordons.
