Very nice couplet in Urdu (Sher):

Jab tere dard mein dil dukhta tha,

Hum tere haq mein dua kartay the.
Hum bhi chup chaap phira kartay the,
Jab teri dhun mein jiya kartay the

(When my heart would hurt with your thought;
I would still pray only for you.
Would roam around quietly all over;
when I used to live in the melody of your memory)
