Moderate Muslims will unite with Radicals!

This is the most amazing thing about the reaction in the Islamic world!! The radicals decide the agenda and the moderates just stay there as wimps and even leave their own position. The question that you really want to ask is – is there such a creature called a moderate Muslim? Why cant they speak out? The young in that world are being held to ransom!!

Cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad are uniting moderate and radical Muslims in protests, Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf said today.

President Musharraf told a group of visiting journalists that newspapers that have printed the caricatures were “being totally oblivious to the consequences for the world, for world peace and harmony.”

Since a Danish paper printed the drawings in September, other publications – mostly in Europe – have published them, saying they were exercising their right to press freedom.

But Musharraf said that such an argument was “pathetic” and “ridiculous.”

“I don’t see how any civilised person can take the issue of freedom of press to hurt the feelings of such a large population of the world,” he said. “I think this is taking freedom of press to its limit.”

Muslims are angry because Islamic tradition bars any depiction of the prophet. Under Pakistani laws, insulting the prophet or Islam’s holy book, the Quran, can be punishable by death.

Musharraf said all Muslims were united in opposing the cartoons.
