Watch this video - to see the statement from Obama and from Hamid Gul. The aspirations of arguably Pakistan's leading ex-General of ISI and a powerful figure in that country are VERY disturbing to say the least. He is a "thought-leader" within Pakistan and has the pulse of the Jehadi minds within ISI and Pak Army. Baitullah Mehsud and Fazlullah, far from being an enemy are quoted by him as assets against India. The question is - do the Pakistani people even get it? Read more

Did you know that when Shahid Afridi scored his first and the fastest century in One Day cricket in Nairobi against Sri Lanka (in 37 balls)... he used Sachin's bat? Yes, in an interview, he said that the bat was given to him by Waqar Younis to try out. Obviously it remains a prized possession of his. Sachin has given the bat to Waqar to have a similar bat made from Sialkot. Am not sure whether Sachin ever got his Sialkot bat though... but his own bat did go around doing a lot of damage to the bowlers around the world, just as it would have done in his own hands. Afridi had hit 11 sixes and six fours in that innings. Read more

If one wants to know what can happen in Pakistan by Pakistani Taliban - here is a proof from the area now controlled by Taliban. The couple were caught in a mountaineous village and they try to escape but are casually shot. When one guy says the bleeding couple is still alive... the guy comes back to pump in more bullets. Suddenly, a live lady and man is killed in under a minute. This occured in Hangu district, in North West Frontier Province, about two hours drive from the regional capital Peshawar. Read more

There are many songs that one hears these days which are good. But here is a song that I consider to be one of the All-time-Greats I have heard. This song has been sung by Jagjit/Chitra Singh and Bhimsen Joshi as well. Both formidable singers! However, in my humble opinion, KL Saigal does more in ONE word (the way he sings Mora in the first few second) than JS and Joshiji could do in the entire rendering. The pain he infuses in the song is umatched! I am not a music expert so cannot say if Saigal was technically more perfect than Jagjit Singh or Bhimsen Joshi; but let me put it this way - these two just wasted their time singing this song again! Saigal just cuts through your heart! Read more

Hannah Montana secretly masterminded the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. She’s totally, like, soooo against a Democratic Pakistan If the Taliban succeeds & takes over Pakistan's Nuclear Weapons, Pakistan will disapear in a VERY BRIGHT LIGHT according to sources in India said Mexico's chief epidemiologist, who suggested that someone could have brought the virus from Pakistan or Bangladesh Sen. Kerry: We are not hoping for the best we are trying to provide assistance to Pakistan and making them realize their responsibilities (PS: getting Bush instead of him.. didn't miss much did we?) Does John Kerry really think the $$ we give to Pakistan will go to the PEOPLE and not the GOVERNMENT? Is he in 4th grade? Taliban with nukes, swine flu pan-endemic...am I just getting my period or is something (everything) rather apocalyptic now? ugh! Father says if i give up two years of my life to Pakistan, he will let me go to Prom. The offer is tempting. Why do we put all our emotions on every moment such that our existence is at stake? Is that a good way to live life and have a civilized existence? What if we can't make it in that moment and the loss in that moment makes it look as if we have lost it forever? I read this comment on a Pakistani blog that made me sit up and think about this. Why are people putting so much at stake when it comes to a simple sports? We have seen the mess of how Cricket was used to create hatred between Pakistan and India in the 1990s. Why do we keep going there? A middle order collapse saw Pakistan reaching 171 all out. Hopes died. Nation as usual didn’t get anything to cheer on. Salt on the wounds was the truth our captain acknowledged, “It is not the team that lost, Pakistan Lost.” Yes Pakistan definitely has lost it all. Whether its sports or its real life, the nation seems to have lost it all. It all started back in 2003 when American army invaded the Afghanistan. Hundred of people have died ever since. The war just continues. This is the time for the citizens of that country to take a deep breath and think.. Think hard. Read more
