India's foreign secretary, Shiv Shankar Menon - an ex High Commissioner from India to Pakistan - has said that "it is hard to believe" that the Mumbai attack, commando style as they were, could be carried out without anybody, anywhere in the (Pak) establishment knowing that this was happening. [1] He should know. Most Indian consulate members are victims of high handedness from ISI. It is customary in a lot of gatherings in Delhi to invite the Pakistani High Commissioners and the peaceniks love to get their photos taken with them. But whenever the similar invites have been given to Indian High Commissioners in Islamabad, even for a simple meal, they get a very harsh treatment from ISI. Read more

I feel bad when he feels good for the fear of feeling worse when he feels better! That seems to be the central philosophy of Pakistan, its media and strategists when it comes to Kashmir and Kashmiris. After a 60% voter turn out [4], Kashmir voted and got a young new Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.[5] Omar is a kind of a celebrity already but more importantly, he is in tune with the youth of India. For example, he loves Paulo Coelho and his Alchemist [3]... wants to set up a system of outreach so ordinary people can interact with him over emails directly (a la Dr. APJ Kalam, former India President) [2] Pakistani media has been silent though.. actually reticent about the elections and its outcome completely. For a set of people, whose heart - ostensibly, we are told - beats for the betterment of Kashmiris and also Democracy in general.. did not find Kashmir's youths complete rejection of the Jehadi mindset to come out in large numbers to vote something to write about, if not rejoice! Yes, it was a coalition mandate.. but then that's the power of democracy. To be fair and honest, Pakistani democracy, which has no dearth of commentators who keep preaching the "finer points" of democracy to India and Kashmiris.. was not able to even GET a government going in THEIR country after the elections in months after the elections. Here, the Kashmiris vote, give their verdict and a Chief Minister is sworn in weeks! Read more

In September this tear I posted three articles regarding “Our Secret Chambers” Getting to the conclusion that it’s only one. At that time it was necessary to present to you three important stages, so you could sense step by step the reality of possesing a personal mystic cell. Throughout many many lives we’ve been dwelling in this our soul personalitie’s sacred shrine. Every human being has his/her very private and personal monk’s cell. Mankind has always had very difficult times. These difficult times should be seen as wonderful learning opportunities. They are indeed Cosmic blessing because it is thank to them that we are aware of our physical, mental and spiritual realities. Without mentioning man’s negative experiences you perfectly know which they are. Much more blood has been shed in the name of God than other issues. Read more

According to this Sharia Expert, Child marriage is allowed in Islam. "Pleasure" is main objective of marriage apart from others. As I have been saying about the Talibanization of Pakistan, a new directive has come out in most areas of NWFP by the Taliban militants. They are asking parents of the grown up daughters to marry them to militants or "face dire consequences". I am not sure what you think this is - but in my view, this is very akin to forced prostitution of young girls. There is nothing to stop the militant from shouting Talaq 3 times or keeping as many wives as he likes... and moreover, to marry a young girl at gun point is no different than raping her. The announcements are being made in mosques - a rather interesting place to campaign for forced marriages! Well, there are further restrictions that are going to be put on women there as well - women have been threatened with dire punishment, if they are found outside their homes without identity cards and a male relative accompanying them. And any couple should carry a marriage certificate or will be trouble. Read more

Sri Lankan Army has finally entered Kilinochchi, the de-facto capital of LTTE in North East Sri lanka. It was, however, a ghost town that was abandoned as the LTTE moved its operations further in the North East jungles. In the previous two attempts, Sri Lankan forces face still challenge and aggression from the LTTE and had many casualties. This time they surrounded the town from three sides and then entered. I applaud the Sri Lankan Army. It is a complete shame that India is not helping the SLA overtly and strongly in routing out the LTTE terrorists from the jungles and towns of Sri Lanka. I feel that if they cannot see or contribute to any good of that society, they have no right to be part of that country. Read more

Israel is attacking Hamas and Palestinians in Gaza. Many are angry and predictability, the Islamic world is characterizing it as a "crime". In my personal view, nothing could be further from truth! Now, let us put the - for a moment, although its not in fashion - onus on the Hamas, Palestinians and Muslims themselves of all this! If Palestinians want peace - then what do you think any Pacifist leader or Prophet or Saint would have suggested to them? To show love to the Israelis and in return they will be shown love. If Gandhi or Jesus was their leader he would have suggested that love the Israelis so much that they are forced to stop the bloodshed. How many of you have heard this line? From ANYONE... Pacifist or non-Pacifist in the Islamic world?? But how often have we heard this line to be taken by the Israelis? That their "hatred" and violence is leading to violence from the Palestinians? Why should the Pacifist onus be ONLY on the adversary of ONE group only? And more importantly, why should ONLY the Muslims have the right to vengeance in face of an "atrocity" - imagined or otherwise? Indeed WHY? Look at the video on the right... it is Fort Lauderdale. Look at what the Muslim supporters - whom many will call "Moderate" or Peaceful Muslims - shout stuff that if I or you would shout such things at Muslims, we would be booked under Hate Crimes! There is this lady who is shouting that Israel be Nuked. And then the lady has the perverse mind to tell the Israelis that they should be sent to the "Oven" - obviously showing support for Nazi crimes. No matter how much hurt you feel - this kind of dialog cannot be condoned! But this is what you hear from "Moderates" in Fort Lauderdale.. not even in an Islamic neighborhood of Paris! Read more
