Blind arrested in Nun Rape case in Orissa

There had been a big hue and cry on the Nun rape case in Orissa and how the Government wanted to catch the Hindu fanatics who had raped the Nun. Well it seems now, that one of the accused for the rape is a blind man! I am sure intrigued how the blind man ended up raping a Nun! I hope he knew what he was doing! IITs and their Grads – How have they helped India and the World!

Investment in the schools and institutions of higher learning has been one of the smartest things that India did. For many years, the graduates from these schools have been leaving Indian shores after their studies and benefiting the economies of the other countries. Or so it seemed to all. But for graduates like from the IITs, world at large was the playground! In a new study (go to the bottom of the post for more findings), the IITians real contribution to the world economy has come out.. as well as their contribution to the Indian economy. What is most interesting finding is that - for every rupee spent on an IIT-ian has 'created an economic impact of Rs 50 at the global level, half of which is India's share'. That is significant. But its not that the IITians should stop here. They can actively engage with the society at large and mentor people. As Nandan Nilekani, co-Chairman and co-Founder of Infosys suggested during the weekend - mentorship, creation of jobs and broader wealth creation - are some of the things that IITians could engage in. It is true that for many decades it was pretty frustrating for the Government which had invested a lot in the IITs and saw the graduates leave the country in hordes. In fact between 1964 and 2001, 35% of graduates from the seven IITs moved to America for work or studies. In fact some studies say that in the 1980s over 80% graduates used to leave for foreign shores. Read more

Is Evidence Displaying a "Blame Game"?

(after the theft .. thief acts like the aggrieved) (75% of all terror plots originate from Pakistan says British PM)All the evidence gathered by FBI, Indian intelligence, British intelligence and forensic stuff from the scene points to a clear finger at Pakistan. There is NO doubt in the minds of people like Dr. Singh, Pranab Mukherjee, LK Advani, Condi Rice and other US officials, as well as the British PM and officials. So, what does Pakistan have to say about it? "Stop the Blame Game" and "improve" ties! Just the suggestion that displaying credible proof to point at the culprit is a "Blame Game" simply insults my intelligence! And honestly, when despite the firm evidence on where the criminal act emanated out of (and WHO did it), if some one keeps suggesting that it is a somehow "wrong" to even gather and accumulate the evidence and POINT to the culprit.... then honestly, I lose faith in any pretense of such a person/s being "Moderates" or peaceniks. They are simply reduced to being FRONTS FOR TERRORISM! So, the extremists attack and the moderates simply obfuscate. I don't think the common Pakistani who is into this "Blame Game/Peacenik/Improve ties" chorus even understands what he/she is doing!! Read more

Having more access to inspirational thoughts Inspiration has no nationality neither an I.Q measurement. To me it has a divine origin. This action on us allow us to go beyond our current intelligence when we are dedicated to unselfish creative work. When any person is able to follow the dictations of his/her heart the full cooperation of his mental faculties is easily achieved. Our society has always wrongly classified us according to our main activity losing the wide opened perspective of our real value. Versatibility is the appropriate word to describe us much better. Our minds are able to cover many different fields. Fields apparently belonging to experts. There are no boundaries for the reach of our minds when they have the full cooperation of our inspiration. Of course that the more knowledge we posses about different topics it will be much easier for our inspiration to find the required building tools to create something. Read more
