Considering setting the example please allow me to give you some data regarding your humble servant. I’m a married man father of one daughter and three sons. My wife and I have five grandchildren being the eldest fifteen years old a girl, who is the daughter of my eldest son Ezequiel, who was born in nineteen sixty-six, then a ten year old boy together with a seven year old boy, both being brothers, their names are Alfonso and Alejandro from my son Alfonso who was born in nineteen sixty nine, my youngest son Guillermo was born in nineteen seventy-three. He has a four old year son named Marcelo who lives on the same block as our son Alfonso and who we have being under our care because both his parents work all day long. I’m explaining all this because it was thanks to my children and my grandchildren that I have been able to discover first and then improved a project that has a lot to do with growing as harmoniously as possible teaching them not only the value of morals and knowledge, but as well as the constant search for wisdom. This explanation has to do with my next post on which I made an introduction to the project which now is a program. This useful program has do with the practical application of our knowledge. For many scholars that’s precisely the definition of wisdom.Azokata-nous. Read more

Listen to the Mool Mantra - the first pronouncement of Guru Nanak Dev after his enlightenment. Today is the 540th Birth Anniversary of the First Sikh Guru - Guru Nanak Dev. He stands as one of the most towering figure in the spiritual landscape in India and the world. To me He, along with Buddha and Jesus hold a special significance in the spiritual realm. All three followed very similar paths of enlightenment - in how it was achieved. Starting from Jnana and ending in Bhakti. All three were born in faiths different from the one that their followers now espouse (and even shun the original), and that is where really lies the key to the "road" to spiritual freedom. It is not about organized faith - but thinking through the truth on your own rather than being affected by what others have said. First of all, no one can really and completely follow anyone. Even if one could do that, that you would end up in the same place as the last guy did is pretty impossible for your going in "karmic baggage" was very different!! And that is why I feel the lives of all three give clues on how to go on this life. They never renounced their original faiths because for them "faiths" or religions were not important - the core thinking of those who came before them and independence from the "life as usual" was. It is interesting that somehow all three ended up being installed as "leaders" of another set of faiths! Read more

Affinity a word many times not fully understood by many people as it happened to me many years ago, when I spend some time immersed in deep thoughts about our special affinity with just a few members of our family and not with all of them. Why is this so? The same principle is applied to friends. Why can’t we succeed in having a more opened and sincere communication with our family members, relatives, coworkers and friends for most we really try? Read more

Things in our universe are just perfect. Everything seems to neatly "tie-in" and work well. It has this structure that is conducive to life. If things were different, no life could have been possible. For example: Consider just two possible changes. Atoms consist of protons, neutrons, and electrons. If those protons were just 0.2 percent more massive than they actually are, they would be unstable and would decay into simpler particles. Atoms wouldn’t exist; neither would we. If gravity were slightly more powerful, the consequences would be nearly as grave. A beefed-up gravitational force would compress stars more tightly, making them smaller, hotter, and denser. Rather than surviving for billions of years, stars would burn through their fuel in a few million years, sputtering out long before life had a chance to evolve. There are many such examples of the universe’s life-friendly properties—so many, in fact, that physicists can’t dismiss them all as mere accidents. So what does this mean? Read more

In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John 1:1-4) You must have heard and read this verse above from Bible? But now read the Vedic verse below - which is verbatim! Is it a case of "Great Minds think alike" or simple "Copy-Paste" type Spiritual discourse? Don't know personally. But I have found only a few "original" thinkers in the realm of Spirituality... rest like to recycle stuff.. even the most accomplished ones! Prajapatir vai idam agre asit Tasya vag dviitiya asit Vag vai paraman Brahman In the beginning was Prajapati (Brahman) With whom was the Word; And the Word was verily Brahman. (Krishna Yajurveda, Kathaka Samhita, 12.5, 27.1; Krishna Yajurveda, Kathakapisthala Samhita, 42.1; Jaiminiya Brahmana II, Samaveda, 2244) Also from Bhagwad Gita: “I am Om, the Word that is God.” (Bhagavad Gita 7:8) Read more

What are the origins of words? Has you wondered about that? Here is an interesting web site that goes into that to see how different words came about. Below is an example of the origin of Orange. Do you know of any other words about the origin of the words? The name of the fruit was NARANJ in Sanskrit. This language was spoken in ancient India. Indians traded with Arabs, so the word passed into Arabic as NARANJAH. The Spaniards were ruled by north African Arabs who passed the fruit and word into Spanish as NARANJA (pronounced as NARANHA). This came into English where the fruit was a NARANJ. Words ending in J are not common in English so the spelling quickly changed to a NARANGE. The initial N moved to the a because of mis-hearing to give an ARANGE (this is called metanalysis). Over time, the initial A became an O to give an ORANGE. Read more

Today we have web 2.0 with so much stuff on it. But there was time when all this began and even images were a novelty. The story of the first image served on the world-wide-web (WWW) is pretty interesting. People involved did not realize the significance of what they had done! Silvano de Gennaro gave a friend this picture below and it became the first on the web. Read more
