Well.. a lot of things are going wrong between Jet Airways and the Air Hostesses (Flight Attendants). Now, this is something that was probably the funniest twist in that relationship! A flight attendant of a Jet Airways flight was closing the door of the aircraft after all the passengers had been seated. And suddenly she fell out of the plane... .... right on to the tarmac! Ostensibly the ladder attendant was in a hurry to take it away! She was rushed to Indian Spinal Injuries Centre at Vasant Kunj, where she was treated and released with minor injuries. It seems such incidents are common as these ladies come with uncomfortably high healed shoes! Read more
Amidst the chest beating by the nationalists in the Republican party in the US, they have no idea where US is going wrong. Why the tomorrow of US kids is fraught with difficulties. The major reason why US was the premier place for innovation was that its leaders inspired the scientists and the technologists to achieve higher and higher goals. Budget deficits rising.. and religion has become a constant competition to science. NASA's programs are way behind as the money is not enough. The next space flight to moon by NASA with humans can probably be in 2018 - and it would cost $100 billion. By contrast, India may put a man on moon by 2010 and with a fraction of that cost (a similar mission by NASA would have cost 6 times more!). With the success of Chandrayaan-I launch, many people in that fraternity have taken notice. It was a major feat to send a space craft to moon. It is now recognized in the peer community as well: "It is now a mature-enough space program to start doing these sorts of things," says Jeff Foust of The Space Review, an online magazine. Read more

Surprisingly, had never heard about this Indian band - Silk Route. Some detail on them Silk Route was a popular Indian music band named after the Silk Road. It was popular in the 90's in the Indian music scene but slowly faded away. The band comprises Mohit Chauhan on the lead vocals and Guitar, Kem Trivedi on the keyboards, and Kenny Puri on percussion and drums. The original line-up however had Mohit Chauhan on the lead vocals and Guitar, Kem Trivedi on the keyboards, and Atul Mittal on acoustic guitar, clarinet and backing vocals.It also included a few guest percussionists.
