A fearful mind cannot be a spiritual mind. A mind where fear exists, will not be able to approach the Truth. Such a mind, because of its aversion to the object of fear will create new camouflages.. new make-beliefs. Such running away from the the basic normal reality of life and world as we live in cannot lead you to transcendant consciousness. But does religion really have to do with such a journey? They say Jesus was crucified and blessed those who killed him. His followers then started an entire religion about him making a mockery of his message. The same goes for Sikh Gurus - specially Guru Nanak. I doubt he would have carried a kripan (or the dagger) for his security or religiousness. Yet, the believing Sikhs (who want to be completely religious) go about carrying such a kripan as if leaving it will make them less of a Sikh than Guru Nanak himself was! This is a crazy situation. The Pope - who purports to be Jesus' representative on Earth now is scared for his life. Well, there are many loonies who would want to kill him. The sane dont care about him 🙂 Well, but his life is in danger or so he believes. And Jesus Christ and his message may be fine to speak and throng about.. but he has no pretentions about living such a message. What if he is killed? Jesus was a pauper - so he had nothing to live for anyway.. Pope is a king who rules over billions of euros worth of property and lives in arguably the most expensive neighborhood in the world and has the arduous job of saving the "souls" of billions.. speaking Jesus' message! 🙂 What is Jesus to Pope btw? Is he anything more than a prop? Honestly! If Jesus came today and wanted to live in Vatican ... in his dirty clothes and his attire. Would he be able to? Would anyone even believe he is Jesus? So Pope is coming to Interfaith meet (in US) and Sikhs were going to go there.. but cannot. Why? Because they have another prop to live up to. His name was Guru Nanak. Guru Nanak and other Gurus including Guru Tegh Bahadur, father of the last Guru - Guru Gobind Singh - were in the same spiritual mould as Jesus. Read more
