When Zia-ul-Haq and his cronies, the main men behind starting the Kashmir militancy - would have or will stand up there to answer for their deeds.. such acts will weigh really heavy against them!! In an example of communal harmony and brotherhood, a Kashmiri migrant brought the body of a Muslim neighbour who died in Jammu for burial here. Abdul Rahim Zargar, who was living in a rented house in Janipur area of Jammu, died on Wednesday after a prolonged illness and his body was brought to his ancestral home by his neighbour, Sanjay Koul. Incidentally, Koul also lived in the same localiity in downtown city as that of Zargar - Habbakadal. He had migrated to Jammu after militancy erupted in 1990. Read more

Dubai used to be a destination of choice of the Indian immigrants leaving Indian shores.. but the dream seems to be turning sour there! Normally speaking Indians are non-confrontational... so for them to go on rampage and be violent means they had had endured quite a bit!! Nearly 2,000 workers, mostly Indians, involved in the construction of over 100 high-rise buildings in Dubai, stopped work and went on a rampage demanding better wages and working conditions. The workers damaged eight cars and two buses, destroyed official documents and also pelted stones at office buildings besides beating up a site engineer last evening, a media report said. This is the second incident of Indian workers going on a rampage in less than a month. Read more

Got this mail from a friend - seems real funny... try these! (1) The three little words are: "Hold On, Please..." Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the phone company's "beep-beep-beep" tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task. These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting. (2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? Read more

Vanity thy name is Hollywood! What would the world be without these jokers? My wife's doc refused to let her fly on a normal plane.. how will this hollywood bimbo go up in zero gravity to moon? Maybe Scientology can help?!! Expectant parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes announced plans today to give birth on the moon in what appears to be an escalating competition with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for the nuttiest birth plan in history. In a press conference at Cape Canaveral, where Cruise was conferring with NASA officials about the final details of the couple’s lunar journey, the actor denied that the plan to give birth on the moon was in any way motivated by the other couple’s decision to deliver their baby in Namibia. Read more

Sandeep Acharya is finally the Indian Idol 2! I was appalled at the way the judges were busy promoting the other contender Karunya. Its one thing to say he is a better singer.. but quite another to come to the stage and read letters from girls written for him that those bombos had given to one of the judges!! This, inmy view, was a crude attempt at showing his popularity in the masses! If anything, the judges ensured the loss of Karunya by this mindless promotion! I am sure the Indian masses did not quite like this nonsense and wanted to go the way of a regular nice and smiling guy who just chugged along without animosity or anger - which, I believe he was entitled to!! Read more
