Bookreads is a book lovers network site.  An interesting battle has been going on there on the authorship of Q’uran.  The grand battle is between the Muslims and the “Infidels”.  The Muslims assert it is “Allah” as the author of Quran, while Infidels (what else would you call them) insist it is “Anonymous”.  Afterall, Bible has been assigned to the same ubiquitous “Divinity”  Anonymous.  So it stands to reason that Q’uran would have the same source.  But Muslims aren’t taking... Read more

In a rather bizarre theoretical framework, some scientists are trying to ascertain if we are some kind of computer simulation characters being driven around by a computer game being played on a very large “Master Computer” by “someone”? Scientists are conducting experiments to discover whether the universe exists within a Matrixstyle computer simulation created by super computers of the future.  The experiments being conducted by University of Washington could prove that we are merely pawns in some kind of larger... Read more

This is an incredible story I came across: A wild-long tailed macaque monkey has adopted an abandoned kitten at Ubud’s Monkey Forest in Bali.   The reserve has 340 monkeys in four groups living there.  It is considered sacred and it is frequented by 10,000 people every month.  The kitten seems to love the attention being given to her by the monkey. This macaque is so protective that he doesn’t allow other macaques to even come close to the kitten. According to the... Read more

At the start of seventh grade, Michael was accepted to an accelerated program for highly gifted math and science students. His IQ is off the charts. When he’s in... Read more

Three weeks ago, the prime minister of India appointed Syed Asif Ibrahim as the new director of India’s Intelligence Bureau, its domestic intelligence-gathering agency. Ibrahim is a Muslim. India is a predominantly Hindu country, but it is also the world’s third-largest Muslim nation. India’s greatest security threat today comes from violent Muslim extremists. For India to appoint a Muslim to be the chief of the country’s intelligence service is a big, big deal. But it’s also part of an evolution... Read more
