This is really funny! I can understand that US needs to respect the immigrants - but illegal immigrants? How does an illegal immigrant get any rights in any country? And Why? For a guy who waited 5 years just to get a Green card legally - this is a major frustration.. to see that someone can simply jump a rope and demand to be not touched! I remember when my final stage was being processed - that was also the time that amnesty was announced .. and so many illegal immigrants' Green cards took priority over ours. This country needs reforms.. real BAD!! Read more

These are some very good pointers for career mistakes that people make! 1. Procrastinating. Remember the first time you put off studying for a test then crammed at the last minute and still got a decent grade? Many of us have been procrastinating since grade school and have done just fine, but that's a habit you've got to break. "There's no grade inflation in the workplace," says Nemko. If you pull together a report or presentation at the last minute, your shoddy preparation is going to show. And if something unexpected happens -- say your computer crashes or a key contact fails to return a call -- the old "dog-ate-my-homework" excuse isn't going to cut it. "Procrastination is an ingrained habit," Nemko says, "but if you don't kick it pretty quick, you're going to find yourself on the corporate slow track." Read more

What do you think this is?? USS Enterprise? Well.. this is the latest offering from Nissan! Called Terranaut - and designed for scientists, geologists, archeologists etc (imagine the price tag - as if all these guys could afford it!) - it is by far one of the coolest car designed yet!! This is the description of its design: It seats three people in an interior quite obviously modeled after a U.S.S. Enterprise shuttlecraft. The “spherical laboratory” is accessed from a seat that swivels 360 degrees to give any intrepid scientist access to all of the vehicle’s workstations. Those workstations leave room for only one passenger-side door, while the driver’s side has two swing-out doors with no b-pillar. Read more

Recently, I was listening to Onpoint Radio - one of my favorite radion shows in the US - (you can download and listen to the entire program) ... this one had to do with Offshoring and Outsourcing. The discussion was centered around how Offshoring is affecting the future of jobs within the US. One of the commentators brought up an interesting statistic - that during Thomas Jefferson's time 85% of the entire US population indulged in agriculture as opposed to 2% now. If someone had told Thomas Jefferson that as the farmers lose their livelihood and move out of agriculture as industrialization comes on.. and US will still be able to feed its population and stay prosperous he would have laughed at that proposition! But THAT is a reality! Read more

This story is purely moronic!! The guy was sitting in his car in the middle of night and on the internet using the Wi-Fi signal from the agency that had floated out on the streets! The agency did have the option of securing their wireless which they did not... and the guy was merely using air waves.. that travelled TO HIM.. is that a crime?? If one is sitting in his study and catches his neighbors Wi-Fi.... is that a crime? He did not even venture out to make the effort! Nor did that person try to "steal" the signal... merely used the signal that HIT his wireless card! Read more

I have asked a question here on this blog in the poll - if the clash of civilizations is real or not... and though I know many people read - only a few have really answered the poll! If the this incident of the decree against this convert from Islam to Christianity for death is not a sign of that - I dont know what is? And what surprises me is that a moderate in Afghanistan is talking the way he is doing! I honestly feel something is awry in the Islamic world - but none is there to acknowedge it.. here is an example of the mindsets even among the educated and "moderates".. and the way they quote the texts (its regarding Dr. Sultan - another potentially hot potato in the Islamic circles these days) Read more
