FAITH AND SPIRITUALITY

Deepak Chopra in one his recent blogs says "Faith will no longer be seen as an irrational departure from reason and science." My take is that FAITH IS the biggest problem!! There is a very thin line between faith and orthodoxy! Every mind that has faith, is closed to reason, and all those minds that are closed to reason cannot be open to the Universal! How can one "experience" the INFINITE by limiting oneself by faith and closing the mind for the "outside"! Moreover, replacing one "Faith" with another "Faith" does not create a better scenario!! All the Prophets, Saints, Sons of Gods, or Gurus thought that THATS what they were doing - but you know what - ALL were Supreme failures in "introducing" a "better faith", because for EACH Guru/Saint/Prophet/Son of God - we have MILLIONS of murderers who kill in their name! It is not a quirk of fate, but rather a CONSISTENT FAILURE of the "best minds" in the "Faith Business" to get to terms with a SIMPLE fact - that FAITH KILLS!! Read more

Naked wedding photos are the hot new trend among young couples in once deeply conservative China. Even in Anhui, a largely rural province in the east, many newly-weds are having their pictures taken in the nude, to the fury of their parents' generation, the Xin'an Evening News said. "Some photo studios are just going too far. They allow young women to have their photos taken in bikinis or with nothing on at all," said an irate woman from the Anhui capital of Hefei. This is a strange phenomenon - men are losing their important"tool" in Nigeria In what looked like a confirmation of the alarm raised last week alleging infiltration of ritualists in Patani in the Patani Local Government Area of Delta State, from neighbouring Ughelli by Chairman of Patani community, Chief Lawrence Babodor, three young men have allegedly lost their genitals in mysterious circumstances. Daily Independent gathered that the incident occurred in a restaurant after one of them allegedly gave change to a man after eating. Those involved, according to reports, are Ufoma Julius (24), Stanley Jeremiah (23), and Innocent Ebioma (15), all were said to be eating in the restaurant when the dramatic incident happened. Noah's Ark or not?

Interesting post in Boing Boing - which talks of the Noah's Ark in Turkey.. I saw this on the History Channel which I found fairly intriguing! What do you guys think? Is this Noah's Ark or not?Is this Noah's Ark? This image of Mt. Ararat in Turkey was captured in 2003 by a commercial remote sensing satellite flown by DigitalGlobe. The image was recently released to the public, much to the excitement of Noah's Ark researcher Porcher Taylor who has spent thirteen years trying to determine whether the "Ararat anomaly" that has shown up in other satellite images could actually be Noah's Ark. Of course, it could also be shadows and/or a strange rock formation. But that would be far less interesting. From Space.com: Read more
