This is an interesting news item I just came across.. something that in inspiring and brings up hope! Is it a beginning that will have a long future? One thing that this group will have to guide against is that this party doesnt become an elitist group of some egotistic IITians or elitist intellectuals - as many organizations I have seen become. Otherwise the claim "politicians of today are no longer the voice of the common man" maybe true of this party as well!Seems like Mani Rathnam's Yuva is getting off the reels. Five IITians, all in their 20s, have decided to take up mainstream politics. Recently - on Nov 12, 2005 - the Dalai Lama address the Annual COnference of the Society for Neuroscience. He was brought at the behest of a renowned Neuroscientist - Richard Davidson. Davidson is a Professor of Neurosciences at University of Wisconsin, Madison.He has performed several clinical tests and experiments on Monk - many from Dalai Lama's group and others - to understand how the brain reacts and works after a person has practised meditation.
