Wafah Dufour is Osama Bin Laden's niece.. and she is into glamour besides being a law grad from Columbia Law School! She has recently created waves with her glamor pics. Here is a low down on her: Wafah Dufour (born 1979) is an Arab American singer-songwriter. She is one of the 300 nieces and nephews of Osama bin Laden, but she has distanced herself from him. She has only met Osama bin Laden once. She has changed her birth name to her mother's maiden name, Dufour, to avoid having the negative sentiments towards Osama bin Laden directed at her. She was born in California, but spent the early part of her life in Saudi Arabia. At the age of 10, her mother left her father, and Dufour moved to Switzerland with her Swiss mother. She went to Columbia Law School in the United States, and lived in Manhattan until around the time of the September 11, 2001 attacks, but was staying in Geneva at the time of the attacks. She currently lives in New York City and is working on her first album. She cites Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, and Tracy Chapman as her influences. Read more

There was a time when I would wait for the morning newspaper in India.. .and pour over every page and word! The analysis and editorials were intelligent and interesting. This time on my visit to India - I missed a GOOD, INTELLIGENT NEWSPAPER! What I found aplenty were tabloids instead! The regulars like Times of India and Hindustan Times in Delhi have stooped too low now! I dont care if they are colored or not ... they need to HAVE SUBSTANCE - which they lacked! The top stories almost EVERYDAY revolved around only two areas of Indian life - CRICKET and BOLLYWOOD... with Sania Mirza coming in as that dash of extra spice! And these were not on "Page 3" or the sports page as you would expect - but the MAIN headlines! Now why the heck do we get what Sachin thinks about the Saurav Ganguly's issue on the FRONT PAGE for 10 column story?? But thats how it was! Read more

I just came back from a visit to India which was very interesting in many ways. To start off - I took the Non-Stop Continental Airlines flight from Newark to New Delhi (roughly 14 hours). Let me tell you right off the bat that I am an Elite One-pass member and have had this status for almost last 5-6 years on the trot. So, I do travel Continental quite a bit and enjoy their service as well! But this Non-Stop flight was a real ad experience in terms of service - I honestly felt that the Airlines had reserved their ABSOLUTELY WORST crew members world-wide for this flight!! The flight attendants were any thing but warm and polite! It was a chore and almost an embarrassment to just ask for a glass of water! The flight attendants regularly - both ways - "shoved" the meal packets on the tray tables instead of putting it down or handing it to you! Read more

Just came across this interesting service where one can send an email to him/herself in the future! There may be many sites... but one is FutureMe which gives this functionality. If for nothing else.. this service is useful to simply check what issues that are important today (or even critical in life) stand the test of time in terms of gravity at a latter date. I have listed a few personal issues that I face today and have emailed them to myself for a view date of Jan 2, 2007... to see how many of them I can solve in this year.. as also which ones remain even relevant at that time. Read more

Wishing all the readers a very Happy New Year 2006! Hope this New Year brings peace, happiness, and calm around the world to soothe the distressed spirits from last year's disasters. If we all could resolve to deliberate and think on our actions and thoughts before we execute them - such that we can see for ourselves the ramifications of what our mind can bring forth - the world will be a better place! Read more

Banging on the door as loud as my yearning for her; I called out to her to let me in! From the other side - she laughed and whispered "There is no door, my love.. ... feel me.. I AM YOU!" Read more
