"We've selected five contestants from Indian Idol and five from Fame Gurkul, put them together for a stunt called 'Dus Ke Dus Le gaye Dil'," informs Sony's executive vice-president Tarun Katial. "Sure, we've no qualms in admitting it's a stunt. But a very viable stunt, you've to admit. Everyone is interested in the Idol and Fame finalists. Look at Abhijeet Sawant and Qazi Tauqeer. SOX has been a major boon for the audit and consulting firms. And these firms are hell bent on keeping this going for a while! A recent report from Robert Half Technology offers fresh evidence that IT auditors are a hot commodity. The Menlo Park, Calif.-based staffing firm projects that starting salaries for IT auditors will jump 11.2% in 2006, to between $67,000 and $94,250, almost four times the average pay hike predicted for all IT jobs. I had heard at the BBC news also that British and Americans were working along with the Jehadis. This has been a major concern of most of my friends in giving any donations for Pakistan Earthquake. The way the charity work goes on there.. it will eventually 70-90% in the pockets of the Islamic Jehadis! Five billion dollars. That is the amount of global aid Pakistan government aims to mobilise from the rest of the world after the earthquake toll touched 73,000. Pakistan foreign minister Khursheed Kasuri, who called Natwar Singh this evening to convey his condolences over the loss of life and property after Saturday’s Delhi blasts, also requested an Indian presence at the next donors’ conference in Pakistan. Read more
