This is going to be a 4 part series over the next 4 days for a very specific kind of candle spell. It can be used for any intention or petition you desire.
We will start with a story to understand the mode and way this kind of spell works. Then the candle spell itself, that will build the path for the intention. Next, a special divination to guide you forward as the intention takes root. Last will be a detailed account of my own experience with this specific kind of spell work.
The Story
In the picture above you will see a story about the 2 Ravens of Creation. The story tells about the partnership between the Goddess and God – Feminine and Masculine – the Divine Mother and the Father of Worlds. This depicts the roles and modes each one is primarily working from.
The Mother is the beginning and end of all things. All creations, in all forms, come from Her, and all creations will return to Her in Death. I personally have been liking the symbolism of a black hole at the center of everything. As it pushes light and energy outward it is creating and expanding the known universe. When it has reached its maximum expansion, it pulls all it has created back in (Death and destruction). Then it moves it back out again (Rebirth), creating something new.
This is a good visual for that idea if you think of the black hole in the center.
I think it is a good analogy for Transformation, the Goddess, for Death (because death is just a transformation), for life and how we grow in it. She is the Wisdom and Knowing behind everything. She deals in patterns and cycles of all things: The Sky clock, made of the stars and planets. Nature itself and the cycles within it such as the changing of seasons or how something takes shape or grows. She is the Web of energy that everything sits upon and that connects everything together.
With this Wisdom and power, She creates the energetic path for your intention to become possible. Whatever needs to be moved, shifted, or cut away within the cycles and patterns that are connected to, and govern, all things. In essence creating the blueprint for the spell/intention.
The Father of Worlds, the God, is over the structures and social fabrics that people create. Think, social structures such as Legal, Economic, Industrial, Ruler-ship/government, the structure of a community, and so forth. The things we build on top of the natural world She created. He knows and understands their patterns, their paths, and how they work. He creates and destroys within those patterns to manifest intentions and desires.
The Father of Worlds takes the path, or blueprint, the Mother has created, then looks at the social structures to find what needs to be altered, destroyed, or enhanced for the goal to be achieved in the physical/material world of people. Bringing into alignment the Energetic path and the physical path needed to make the intention a reality.
One Without the Other
It is true that you can work magic with one and not the other. Many have only worked with the Goddess or God in their practices and have received results. Imagine if those results were only the surface of what could have been though. Perhaps we got some effect but not the full effect we truly desired. Perhaps it works only for one side of your life but not the other. For example: Perhaps personal magic on yourself, self transformations, work great but changes in your outer physical life like work or money haven’t.
I believe this understanding of the partnership between Them teaches us the flow of energy, of magic, as a cohesive and full movement of manifestation. How both sides contribute. From the Foundation to the Structure.
The Loop-hole
I have seen an interesting loop-hole is this partnership as well.
Nothing can be created, transformed, or destroyed with out the Divine Mother. Everything is energy, and it is the shifting and shaping of energy that life even exists. Without Her, He can not create or manifest.
Because we all come from the Divine Mother though, our Soul is a part of Her energy, connected to Her, we possess Her power when we tap our own energy. Not in its fullness but a spark of it. The more people gathered together, focused on and working towards the same goal, weaving the same path for its manifestation, magnifies that spark and gives more of Her power to the work. Think about group rituals, prayers, and so forth. The more people involved, the greater and more solid the effect.
Some people, religions, and traditions either only work with the masculine divine or place Him first/ primary. The ones who understand how this partnership works are also the ones focused on numbers – followers and participants, because they know that Her energy is needed to truly manifest in this world. Often using aggression and fear to quickly move more people in the direction they want to change – and the more people, the greater the effect.
I have often wondered why they would cut Her out or diminish Her in the first place. Perhaps they thought they could create the full energetic path themselves, shaping it in the way they wanted instead of the way it should be for harmonious alignment with all. Perhaps they didn’t understand Her role and being the “manifester” they thought they were the lead. Perhaps it was just greed and a lust for power. I think the answer varies depending on the person or group at its beginning and the truth is often lost along the way.
I have seen reflections of this split in our society as I am sure many of you have too. One of the most stark ones is in the lowering of women below men. Now realize we are primarily talking social structures here. The individual men who follow this line of thinking have been conditioned and trained through society to think and act in that manner. Can they reject that and choose partnership, of course, and many seem to for their personal interactions and lives. Now that the PSA is over, let’s continue…
The more damage done to the image of the feminine, the more separated we become from Her on a conscious level. The further we get away from nature, the less we feel and understand the natural cycles and patterns of Her. The more women are oppressed, the less value is seen in the feminine. The people who pushed this way of being though, in the beginning, I think knew and understood all this. By cutting out the natural and balanced flow of Her path, they could use the focus and energy of people as a group to forge the path they (people) wanted for themselves.
I also often wondered why the Father of Worlds would work without Her in this way – and my closest conclusion right now is that He isn’t. As there is a spark of Her in all of us, He is still serving Her in a way. The more of Her sparks that come together in unity for something, the greater the work He will do, because the more of Her energy is involved. I could be wrong, or this could be spot on.
Main Point
There are other kinds of perspectives and depth to Them and this partnership, but this is the main concept to keep in mind for undertaking this particular spell:
The Divine Mother is creating the energetic path that will allow your intention/ goal to manifest. Then the Father of Worlds is taking the path She created and manifesting it into the physical world.

So today I invite you to consider what has been written. Reflect on your own path and the connections you have built.

Don’t get caught in the weeds of masculine and feminine in the way society today has framed that or you will miss the bigger picture of Them.
