Two Mike Bird Books Reviewed at RBL

Two Mike Bird Books Reviewed at RBL February 2, 2015

I had a couple of my books come up for review at RBL.

Susan Wendel reviews my Jesus is the Christ, and while she thinks that my methodological approach was a bit inconsistent, she affirms the basic thesis of the volume that Jesus’ messiahship is central to the Gospels and Acts.

Bob Becking reviews my 1 Esdras volume and has very nice things to say about it. I have to confess that I always get nervous about seeing reviews of this book since I was venturing into the study of the Septuagint, Apocrypha, Rewritten Bible, and Hellenistic Judaism for the first time. So if anyone in Utrecht sees Bob, tell him: “Bedankt en ik ben je een cola.”
