Oprah Winfrey recently paid a visit to two Orthodox Jewish communities in Brooklyn. According to Chabad.org, the blog for the Lubavitch sect of Orthodox Jews, Oprah took part in a ritual meal (I’m going to guess a Shabbat dinner?), interviewed women from the community, and toured a mikveh (although she didn’t actually get in one, which could be her own ish about not wanting to be naked or Lubavitch ish about not wanting a non-Jew getting in their ritual bath). The visits will be part of an episode of the show Oprah’s Next Chapter, which premieres on OWN in January.
