Jesus’s resurrection teaches us that forgiveness brings joy, like sunshine after a storm. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, erasing our past mistakes. His resurrection is like a door opening to a new life, showing us that God’s forgiveness is real. When we accept His forgiveness, joy fills our hearts, much like a thirsty person drinking cool water. Romans 4:25 (NKJV) says, “who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.”  This explains how forgiveness brings joy.

Jesus Forgave Us

Jesus forgave us even when we did not deserve it, like a king pardoning a thief. While on the cross, He prayed for those who hurt Him, showing love that knows no limits. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” (Luke 23:34, NKJV). His forgiveness, like a parent forgiving a child’s mistake, shows us deep love and grace, inspiring us to forgive others.

Forgiving Brings Peace

When we forgive, we release anger, like setting a bird free from a cage. Jesus taught us this in Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJV), “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” By letting go of grudges, we lift the heavy burden of bitterness. As a result, we feel peace, like a calm sea after a storm, and joy replaces the pain we once carried.

Forgiveness Creates Joy

Forgiveness helps us move forward with joy, like stepping out of darkness into light. Holding onto grudges is like carrying a heavy load that slows us down. Colossians 3:13 (NKJV) says, “bearing with one another, and forgiving one another… even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.” Forgiving, like releasing a balloon into the sky, frees us from bitterness and opens the way to joy.

God Gives Eternal Joy

God’s forgiveness brings joy in this life and promises eternal joy, like a treasure waiting for us. When we accept His forgiveness, it’s like receiving a key that opens the door to heaven. John 3:16 (NKJV) says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” This gift is like the sun shining on a new day, promising eternal life with God, our greatest source of joy.

The Power of Forgiveness

Jesus’s resurrection shows the power of forgiveness, like a bridge connecting us to joy. When we follow His example, we experience peace and freedom, like a prisoner set free. Forgiving others fills our lives with joy, like a garden blooming after rain. God’s forgiveness, like a guiding light, promises eternal joy in heaven, where there is no more pain or sorrow.  And this is why forgiveness brings joy.
