Considered “one of the finest spiritual guides of our time,” Mark Nepo has been breaking a path of spiritual inquiry for more than forty years. Based on his new book, The Endless Practice, this evening of teaching, woven with poetry and story, will explore how the soul works in the world, and how by engaging our soul and the world, we are shaped by the endless practice of becoming the person we were born to be.

Unfolding topics such as “Saying Yes to Life,” “Staying in Relationship,” and “The Sweet Ache of Being Alive,” Mark will invite participants to befriend their own stories and listen for their own wisdom in this reflective and transformative gathering. Using ancient and contemporary stories, poetry, journaling and dialogue, this time is an invitation to engage with profound and life-giving material that will deepen the way you perceive and relate to the world.

The point of experience is not to escape life but to live it. Each of us carries some wisdom waiting to be discovered at the center of our experience, and everything we meet, if faced and held, reveals a part of that wisdom. This is not something we can manipulate, but only live into. One that we must, ultimately, inhabit alone, but one which we can enliven together.”
