If any of you live within driving distance of Chattanooga, TN, I’ll be speaking at the Humanist Assembly there in town this Sunday, May 11th, at 4pm. I’ll be talking about “How to Be Godless in Dixie,” addressing the unique challenges that face those of us who live in highly religious regions of the U.S. like the Deep South. When I’m done, I’ll be sure to leave time for Q&A, and I hear there’s a potluck when it’s over.
With their help, I’m going to attempt to get a good recording of the talk. If it turns out alright, I’ll make it available for viewing/listening after the event. Many thanks to those who used the “Donate” button to help me travel to something like this. Maybe this will become more of a regular thing for me in the future.
More posts coming as soon as my school’s state testing week is over (don’t get me started). Also, I’ve got some friends helping me work on updating the look of the site, so stay tuned for a new and improved design in the near future!
