Comment Policy for Heavenly Creatures blog

Discussion on topics relating to religion and animals can be, oddly enough, very heated. So here are a few guidelines you need to be aware of. By posting a comment to this blog, you are agreeing to this policy.

I am not responsible for the opinions expressed in the comments section and will not be held responsible for rude, ignorant or otherwise offensive comments. Or any comments, for that matter. While I try to moderate the replies to posts, it’s not always possible to read them on the same day they are posted. Some slip by.

Threatening comments of any kind will not be tolerated. No, you can’t threaten to kill, maim, hurt, stalk or otherwise cause danger, discomfort or annoyance to me, my family, my friends, my readers, my dogs, the subjects of my posts, or anyone else involved even remotely with me or this blog. If the only way you can express your opinion is to do it by threatening physical attacks, please find another blog to read. Or better, get some psychological help.

As a writer, I know that words have incredible power.  But even as a follower of Jesus, I have been known to occasionally sling around curse words like a trucker. I try, however, to avoid doing so on this blog. It would be appreciated if you would do the same. If you must use the F word,  please first be sure there isn’t any other word in the English language that will convey your thought or make your point. And if there isn’t, please consider using f* rather than the entire word.

Yes, we live in America, and yes, you have the right to free speech. This blog, however, is not a democracy. I reserve the right to moderate and/or delete, at my whim, comments that are too far off topic, are rude or offensive, or are otherwise out of line. Racial slurs as well as pornographic comments will be deleted.

No spam, advertising your products, or otherwise using my blog’s comment section to promote yourself. I work hard to build and maintain a readership. You can get your own blog and do the same.

In short:  don’t say anything you wouldn’t say if Jesus and your dog were listening.
