Showing Kindness To The World

Random Acts of Kindness Day is February 17, 2024.

It is a day to show non-premeditated, inconsistent actions designed to offer kindness towards other human beings you do not know.

This fad was named after “random kindness and senseless acts of beauty” a book, written by Anne Herbert in 1982. It was based on the phrase “random acts of violence and senseless acts of cruelty.”

What does the bible say about Random Acts of Kindness?

The Bible tells us in more than one scripture that we are to be kind to everyone, whether they believe in God or not. The Bible also tells us to be nice because you may never know who you are entertaining.  Hebrews 13 v2- Show hospitality and care for strangers, as some have entertained angels without even knowing it.

As a believer, we are challenged with this mission daily. We are striving to be like Jesus. Kind and non-judgemental to all so that we may be able to spread the word of God.

If you struggle to show your kindness here is a list :

  • Pay for someone’s coffee.
  • Purchase meals at a local shelter.
  • Drop off brand-new items at local orphanages or churches.
  • Make a $5 donation to the charity of your choice.

Dear God,

Please continue to keep our hearts open so we can receive Your Love. We know through Your Love we can be kind, patient, and long-suffering. Help us to continue down Your righteous Path of love and kindness. -Amen
