A door to the Absolute

A door to the Absolute June 29, 2016
DoorThe Catholic Church is not in the world to please the world but to change it. I think you understand the difference between pleasing and change which is really critical to understand the role that the Church should have in human history. Thus the liturgy must not be the repetition of the way of belonging to the world, but it has to be a door to the Absolute that opens before us even if it would be for a few moments.
Here is the importance of the arts and music, here is the role that these communication codes have to accomplish this task of elevating the faithful to another dimension that is different from the everyday one. The daily life is a starting point but for many of the liturgy reformers it is the point of arrival.
