Yeshua, the Ethical Leader: Our Best Model

Yeshua, the Ethical Leader: Our Best Model

Yeshua is our best ethical model for leadership. Yeshua taught and still teaches us how to live in an ethical body and how to serve as ethical leaders. The model I use daily includes honesty, fairness, punctuality, temperance, consideration, and servant leadership. These traits aid in the quest for being ethical in all business and personal relationships. Yeshua was. Can’t we? Moral behavior is an everyday process for me as ethical behavior pertains directly to my character. Having a good reputation and character like Yeshua is greater than wealth. This idea is well illustrated in the following scripture. Kindly refer to Proverbs 22:1 (CJB): “Rather than wealth, choose a good reputation, esteem over silver and gold.”

Making Ethical Decisions

Ethical decisions require analyzing facts to weigh options rationally. It is better to make sensible decisions than to rationalize. Because often one can rationalize a decision that is completely unethical or immoral. Good character endures longer than material wealth. Negative traits can impact our relationships negatively. Most people like to know what they see is what they get. One way to stay honest is to have people in your inner circle who will tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear.

The Body

The body of my everyday ordinary life centers on my relationship with Yeshua. Every aspect of my life involves the model of Yeshua. The ethical framework in principles embodied is integral to the ethical body and compromises these character traits: honesty, fairness, timeliness, temperance, consideration, and servant leadership. A nexus exists between the ethical framework/principles and the ethical body. This is demonstrated by faith. God justifies life and the path on which we embark. My daily path is beginning the day with song and worship with God, seeking his presence and direction throughout my entire workday. I conclude the day by spending time with my husband on loan from Yeshua.

Mind, Body, and Spirit

For my body to be at its ethical best, my body is coordinated totally and completely with my mind and spirit. We must rid ourselves of an unethical body. We can live in an ethical body. It is a choice we make. As we being reborn in Yeshua, we have overcome the old ways and old life. We put on the new model of Yeshua. The ethical aspects of my mind, body, and spirit are interconnected. All parts are integral. The functionality of the ethical mind has a significant impact on the mind, body, and spirit. In making ethical decisions, the origin starts and originates in the mind.

The mind and body work together according to the literature I read. This is true for me also. Both mental and physical exercise contribute to my overall well-being. Maintaining physical fitness enables me to make decisions that are more resilient, equitable, and fair. Ethical decisions consider what is right or wrong, or good and evil. Ethical theories provide a foundation for making decisions. However, even if absent theory, we know what is right or wrong. Always choose to do the right thing.

Looking Ahead

I place value on how it will affect others. I make decisions based on equity and fairness for all. Apply personalization with care and in suitable contexts, as it may lead to unintended consequences or outcomes. Our contribution to society emanates from our true self. We must begin with the end in mind. We must ask ourselves, what can I leave that makes the world a better place? What we do and leave behind may help others hopefully, rather than hinder them. Humanity is ongoing, whereas money and things will come and go. Belief in Yeshua, faith in Yeshua, and modeling Yeshua in our actions assist in achieving and obtaining our goals, our purpose, and our desires. Yeshua possesses all the qualities mentioned and exhibited how we should live in an ethical body.
