So this is the sort of question I’d usually pose to my facebook friends, to get opinions outside of just close friends — but, it’s a question about my parents, and Mom is on facebook.
My question is this, for those of you who stop by to see what I’m writing, and are old enough to have dealt with the issue: what are your experiences with aging parents? Have you had that conversation yet, in which you try to convince them that staying in their family home is a really bad idea when Dad keeps falling? What about that other conversation, in which you ask him to share information about their finances so that, should something happen to him, Mom, who’s never been involved in managing their investments, will be able to do this herself?
I suspect there are probably resources out there put out by experts, but, as I idly type, I thought I’d solicit experiences. Got any to share?
