Just for fun, for my fellow armchair economists, some speculation: if we eliminated the minimum wage right now, what would the de facto minimum wage look like, in current economic conditions? Narrow it down to particular regions, if you like. What would happen if the government actually enforced immigration laws? Or, to the contrary, if we had de jure rather than de facto open immigration?
