Homosexuality is False Marriage

But from the beginning of the creation, God “made them male and female.’ “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Homosexual marriages, whether they are with two men or two women, are a form of false marriage. It is wrong because you are taking two of the same sex away from each other’s real “help-mate.”

Jesus responds to the question of divorce by going back to Creation. Jesus first states that God made humans in male and female forms. He defines gender. Then He goes on to state that BECAUSE they were male and female, they were meant to come together as male and female – in marriage. Marriage is therefore designed for man and a woman.

Firstly, Jesus accepts that men and women should leave thier families and form new families. It is natural that one gender will find its partner, soul-mate, marriage in someone from the other gender. Marriage in its origin is opposite-gender based, not same-gender based.

Secondly, Jesus accepts that a woman and man would come together in a marriage and form a new union. This union would uniquely be designed along opposite-gender boundaries. No other union would exist. Marriage would be uniquely designed ONLY when a man and a woman come together.

Thirdly, Jesus denies that NO other forms are possible. Jesus invokes God’s command as saying essentially this: Anyone who breaks this pattern is violating the command will of God. God puts a man and woman together. When a man decides to love and marry another man, he is separating this “man” from the woman that God designed for him. When a woman decides to love and marry another woman, she is separating this “woman” from the man that God designed for her. When society says that homosexual marriage is right, soceity is separating men and women from their proper and divine accepted will. When parents accept the false claim from their child that the child is gay and wants to marry someone of their own gender, the parents are separating thier child from the person that God has for that child. When that child grows up, s/he will be expected to find a “help-mate” to come together and form a new family in marriage. When parents accept homosexual desires from their children, they are encouraging this separation. Thus, they are destroying their child’s God appointed future.

Some may object and say that Jesus does speak about homosexuality at all. Jesus speaks about everything that would seperate a marriage. Adultery seperates a marriage. Strife seperates a marriage. Homosexuality would seperate a marriage. Homosexuality is much more dangerous, especially if is accepted as a form of marriage. Homosexuality is a poor substitute for what God has designed.
