God’s Love Has a Child Named Grace
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:6-8 NKJV)
God’s love has a daughter. Her name is Grace. Grace is the daughter of God’s love. Grace is the theme of Romans. We are given freedom to live because God loved us and shared His love responsibly with us. Grace is free love. In essence, Grace is a peace child.
God’s love has a daughter and her name is Grace.
But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
(Romans 5:15 NKJV)
Grace has a daughter and her hame is Justification.
And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.
(Romans 5:16 NKJV)
Justification has a daughter and her name is Righteousness.
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
(Romans 5:19 NKJV)
This family of God’s love lived all together for eternal life.
so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 5:21 NKJV)
God’s love and Grace and Justification and Righteousness live together in our hearts as Christians. Jesus gave up His life so that God’s love could give us this family. This family is here to help us live our lives in freedom and peace.
