What is Truth?

What is Truth?

Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.”
(John 18:37-38 NKJV)

What is Truth?

What is Truth? Everyone asks the question loud and discreet.
From the skeptic to the religious to the simple man on the street.
What is Truth? A question that no one seems to know the answer.
We ask but we cannot know.
We seek but we do not find.
We investigate with trial and error but we cannot discover.

Is there anyone who can answer this ultimate question?
Is there anyone who has the authority to show?
Is there anyone who is willing to prove the evidence?
Is there anyone who will share what we all want to know?

Will we listen when the Truth speaks?
Will we hear what the Truth has to say?
Can we be certain the Truth will not lie to us?

The Truth has stood the test of time.

When the Truth comes to us, will we love or ignore?
When the Truth comes to us, will we obey or refuse?
When the Truth comes to us, will we enjoy or condemn?

The Truth is a person.

He taught, testified, and told about Truth.
He lived, loved, and labored in Truth.
He fought, died, and conquered for Truth.

The Truth is Jesus Christ.
