Watchamacallit

So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.
And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.

I have found the heavenly “manna” that the Israelites used in the wilderness. It is now a candy bar produced by Hershey. Of course, in reality, Biblical manna was something completely different.

The Hebrew word man-hu, literally means “What is it?” This is the name the people of Israel gave the bread which God provided on their way out of Egypt in the desert.

Jesus called it the bread from heaven. Moses said it was the bread that God gave for us to eat.

The Israelites did not understand the idea of bread falling down from heaven, so they called it “What is it?” – in Hebrew it is translated manna. In English, the word would be today watchamacallit.

Unlike the real watchamacallit, manna was more nutritious. You can see the difference on here.

God provides for our physical and spiritual needs in abundance. We don’t have to question it. We just need to take it and use it.
